When Groom Found His Newly Married Bride Transgender

Kathmandu, 18th June: A man discovered that his wife is a eunuch after marriage rituals in Mainpuri district. Manoj (name changed), a native of Kailti village in Kishni area of Mainpuri district was engaged to a girl hailing from Parsauli village of Hardoi district in April. The marriage was solemnized on May 9. Manoj alleged that his relatives had visited his house with a marriage proposal in March this year. They claimed that they knew a girl from Parsauli village of Hardoi, who would suit him. Coaxed by his relatives, Manoj and his family members visited the girl’s village. After discussions, the two families agreed on the alliance and the couple tied the knots on May 9. After post-marriage rituals that were solemnised on May 10, the night of May 11 turned nightmarish, when Manoj discovered that the girl had shown little interest in consummating the marriage. He grew suspicious and told his parents, other family members and close friends about it. He subsequently found that his bride was a transgender, posing as a woman. - See more
