Nepali Congress (NC) central member and former Minister Ramesh Lekhak has claimed that NC would emerge first party in the second phase of local elections. Addressing a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union, Kanchanpur Chapter on Saturday, he said it is sure thattheir party would register wins in most of the local levels since people have trusted the NC for its leadership in promulgating the Constitution and restoring peace in Nepal. \Recalling that the promulgation of the Constitution was not materialized due to NC lose in the first Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, leader Lekhak said later it was successful with NC win in second CA elections. He asserted that Kanchanpur would be made prosperous if NC emerged victorious in the second phase of local elections here. Lekhak informed that the construction of concrete bridge over the Mahakali River would begin within mid-October. RSS
