A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army defused a pressure cooker bomb in Parasi of Nawalparasi on Wednesday. The bomb was planted near the gate of District Contractors Association, Nawalparasi, police said. Police said that they are looking into the case. RSS Chairman of Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) Upendra Yadav has demanded that the constitution be amended before the second phase of local elections scheduled for June 14. Speaking at a party programme in Nepalgunj on Tuesday, Yadav said the government had repeatedly betrayed the Madhes-based parties. “The government had assured us to hold the first phase of local polls only after making amendment to the constitution. But the elections were conducted without addressing our demand,” he added. The SSFN chief said the government had assured the Madhes-centric parties to amend the statute before June 14. “But conspiracies are being hatched now to betray us again,” he said.
